Gøysa Gard – Lysefjorden guestfarm

Today, 30.11.19, Explore Lysefjorden has become the proud owner of the beautiful farm “Gøysa Gard”. Gøysa Gard has a perfect location in the small village Forsand, which is also the home of Lysefjorden, Preikestolen and Kjerag. From the farm, you have panoramic view of Lysefjorden og it’s surrounding mountain tops.

This traditional Norwegian farm has several houses, and the oldest part is built in 1860, while the new part is from 2009.  Our plan with Gøysa Gard is to make it your preferred place to stay while visiting the fjords of Norway. In our farm you can have a comfortable stay for a longer period while exploring Lysefjorden with all it possibilities. Preikestolen, Kjerag, Flørli, Stavanger and Sandnes are all close by, and we can organize guides if you want to get the most out of your excursions. In Forsand you are also surrounded by historic and cultural sights, and there is also an old settlement from the bronse age which is rebuilt just 20 min walk from the farm. Just recently, arceologists has also revealed several old houses from the same age just 100m from Gøysa Gard. So here, you are actually living among the settlements of our ancestors.

Through our cooperation with other local companies, we can also offer kayak rental, sup rental, fjord sightseeing, fjord safari, guided hikes, bike rentals and more. There is also a beautiful garden on the farm where all our guests can relax.

Even though the farm already is a charming place, we want to give it a facelift before inviting you in. We are currently replacing all the furnitures and beds, to make sure you have the best stay as possible.
When we are ready for guests around February/March, we will have bed space for 21 persons in 3 different sections of the houses. The old house will be one section, while the new part from 2009 is divided into two sections where it’s also possible to book a room with shared livingroom and kitchen.

It will also be possible for smaller groups or companies to rent Gøysa Gard for teambuildings or meetings, with or without catering.

Explore Lysefjorden is owned by 3 local families which is all living just a few minutes walk from the farm, and we are all eager to show you our new place.
It is already possible to book accomodation on Airbnb, and shortly we will be available on booking.com in addition to our own booking system on our webpage.
You can also send us a mail at booking(at)lysefjorden.com if you want to make a booking directly.

Hope to see you at Gøysa Gard in 2020:-)
