From 1. January 2018, the rights of marriage was transferred from the courts to the mayors in Norway. This means that the municipalities now are responsible to find suitable rooms and places for couples who wants to get married inside each municipality.
In the municipality of Forsand, this opens up for some new romantic adventures. It’s now possible to get married on both Preikestolen / Pulpit Rock and Kjerag by the mayor of Forsand. This would definitely be a wedding outside the norm, but nevertheless a memorable wedding with the most beautiful view in the world.
